WeBo swimmers and divers defeat Frankfort Thursday night

The Star swim teams had a double win against Frankfort on Thursday night. The girls beat the Hot Dogs 131-39 and had a near perfect meet, winning all but one event. The ladies kicked off the night with their three medley relay teams going 1-2-3; the team of Rashel Anderson, Adelaide Jones, Lindsey Steimel, and Kaitlyn Crowley placed first, followed by the team of Jenna Twtity, Micah Hole, Hannah Hayden, and Lilly Maners in second, and Rebecca Rustin, Cara Hanna, Annabelle Mickschl, and Brooklynn Schiery placed third. Keeping the momentum going, A. Jones, Katherine Aliff, and Samantha Jones took the top three places respectively in the 200-yard freestyle. Twitty earned a win in the 200-yard IM. Steimel placed second in the 50-yard freestyle, followed by Maners in third and Schiery in fourth. The lady divers – Leelah Fettig, Maisa Kent-Doolan, and Cara Hanna – also scored first, second, and third respectively, Fettig remaining undefeated so far this season. Hayden and Crowley placed first and second the 100-yard butterfly. Anderson, Aliff, and S. Jones went 1-2-3 in a close 100-yard freestyle race between them. In the 500-yard freestyle, Rustin finished in second place for the girls. Lady Star relays once again scored first, second, and third in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of S. Jones, Aliff, Hayden, and A. Jones took the win, followed by the team of Schiery, Mickschl, Rustin, and Hole in second place, and Hanna, Steimel, Maners, and Crowley finished third. Anderson and Twitty placed first and second in the 100-yard backstroke; Mickschl followed in fourth place. A. Jones earned one more individual win for the Stars in the 100-yard breaststroke, followed by Hole in second and Hanna in fifth. The two 400-yard freestyle relay teams finished the meet with first and second place wins. The team of Hayden, Aliff, Anderson, and S. Jones finished in first place, followed by the team of Steimel, Maners, Crowley, and Hole in second. The boys beat the Hot Dogs with a score of 94-64. The 200-yard medley relay team of Jacob Norman, Jude Balke, Tanner Weakley, and Zach Connors kicked off the meet with a win for the Stars. Wyatt Barnett, Ethan Barnett, and Connors kept it going in the 200-yard freestyle by taking first, second, and third places respectively. Norman took another win for the Stars in the 200-yard IM, followed in third by Malachi Catterson. Weakley won a close 50-yard freestyle race; Daniel Talbott also placed fourth and Isaac Garringer finished sixth. Weakley followed with his second individual win for the evening in the 100-yard butterfly; Catterson again followed in third place. Talbott finished second in the 100-yard freestyle, Collier finished fourth, and Artie Milliser finished sixth. W. Barnett, E. Barnett, and Collier placed second, third, and fourth respectively in the 500-yard freestyle. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Talbott, Catterson, W. Barnett, and Weakley earned another win for the Stars; the team of Milliser, Balke, E. Barnett, and Garringer also finished third. In the 100-yard backstroke, Norman earned his second individual win for the evening. Balke earned one more individual win for the Stars in the 100-yard breaststroke. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Collier, Norman, E. Barnett, and W. Barnett finished the meet with another win, followed in third by the Webo team of Connors, Balke, Talbott, and Milliser.
