It was a chilly night in Speedway, Indiana, but the Lady Stars came ready to turn up the heat! Olivia Regan set the tone early, sinking the first bucket of the game to get the team on the board. Becca Keys followed her lead, adding another two points to keep the momentum going in the first quarter. On defense, the Lady Stars stuck to their signature 3-2 zone, holding the Sparkplugs to just 14 points. At the end of the first quarter, the Sparkplugs were only ahead by a single point. The second quarter was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams trading baskets. Ally Lewis lit up the scoreboard, scoring 8 of her impressive 20 points in the second quarter. The Lady Stars kept it close, heading into halftime down by just five points, with a score of 27-22. Things took a tough turn in the third quarter, as the Sparkplugs came out firing with a 12-0 run in the first two minutes. Despite their best efforts, the Lady Stars couldn’t close the gap, and the Sparkplugs maintained control for the rest of the game. Although the Lady Stars fell short, finishing with a final score of 67-45, they played with heart and gave it their all. It was a night full of hustle, determination, and moments to be proud of for this hard-fighting team! The lady stars will be back in action against a conference rival, the Danville Warriors at 6:00 pm. Stay warm and go Stars! The JV Girls were back on the road Tuesday for a full game against Speedway.  The first quarter ended in a tie of 4 to 4.  The Sparkplugs held the Stars scoreless in the second quarter, going into the half 13 to 4.  Webo fought back in the third to go up 16 to 15 but fouls caught up with them in the fourth quarter and the Stars ultimately lost by a score of 26 to 19.  They will travel to Danville Friday to take on the Warriors.
