The Lady Stars traveled to Attica on Tuesday night, coming away with a 43-23 victory over the Red Ramblers. The Stars did a great of applying defensive pressure from the start of the game, holding Attica to only 3 points in the first quarter. The intensity continued on the other side of the court, with the Lady Stars executing on the offensive and ending the first quarter with 14 points. The Stars went into halftime only up 8 points, but they refocused at half and started out strong in the third quarter. As the second half continued, the Lady Stars did a much better job of executing on offense and looked inside to get good shots. In the end, many of the Stars stepped up and contributed to the great team win. The Lady Stars were led in scoring by Emmy Roys with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds, followed by Ila Stokes who added 11 points. The Stars are back in action on Friday as they take on the Danville Warriors. The JV girls basketball team travelled to Attica Tuesday to face off against the Ramblers. The Stars controlled the pace for the entire game but early foul trouble and many missed shot attempts kept the game close. Webo went into the half up 16 to 12 and capitalized on many steals leading to lay-ups to end the game 31 to 23. This improves their record to 9 and 6.
