Swim teams split meet against Clinton Central

The Western Boone Swim team hosted Clinton Central Tuesday evening for a dual meet. In the 200 Free Jenna Twitty swam for 1st place and Rylee Pelley got 2nd place with a new season best time (2:29.21). Eisley Whitely won 1st place in the 200 IM with a new season best time (2:37.16), and Jaili Torp had a new season best time (2:58.11) for 4th place. In the 50 Free the girls swept 2nd (Evie Maurath), 3rd (Janie Ransom), and 4th (Kate Higer), and Joan Gearheart placed 2nd in Diving. Jaili Torp swam for 2nd place in the 100 Butterfly and a new season best time (1:29.66), and in the 100 Free Jenna Twitty won 1st place and Rebecca Rustin swam for a new season best time (1:08.09). Rylee Pelly won 1st place with a new season best time (6:33.05) in the 500 Free, and Evie Maurath got 3rd with a new season best time (7:00.60). Jaili Torp, Kyndal Dickerson, and Adalyn Sartin all swam for season best times in the 100 Backstroke, and the girls won 1st place in both the 200 Free Relay and the 400 Free Relay. The girls fought for a win over Clinton Central with a final score of 98-84. The boys had 1st place finishes in the 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay, and 400 Free Relay. In the 200 Free Jacob Norman placed 2nd and Ethan Barnett came in 3rd with a new season best time of 2:05.62. Isaac Threlkeld won 1st in the 200 IM, and Chase Collier won 1st place in the 50 Free. Xander Rouse came through for another 1st place win in Diving, and Isaac Threlkeld took 1st in the 100 Butterfly. In the 100 Free Zach Connors swam for 2nd place, and Jonny Rutherford swam for a new season best time (1:00.43) and 4th place. Alex Crockett swam strong for 2nd place and a new season best time (5:51.45) in the 500 Free, and Henry Biggs came in 3rd. Artie Milliser got 2nd place in the 100 Backstroke, and Jude Balke got 3rd. The boys finished their evening with a win over Clinton Central with a final score of 102-78. The Stars will compete again Thursday evening at home against Lebanon.
