The Lady Stars faced conference rival North Montgomery for their final game of the regular season, coming away with a 66-35 victory. The Stars came out focused and motivated to get a win, starting off a bit stagnant but then progressively improving as the game continued. The Lady Stars executed well on both ends of the court, getting great looks at the basket and holding the Chargers to only 15 points in the first half. The Stars continued the intensity into the second half and had many girls stepped up big on both ends of the court for the team. The Lady Stars were led in scoring by Katheryn Rutherford with 20 points, followed by Lili Jones with 14 and Ki'erra Koch with 11 points. Overall, it was a huge team win and secured a 3rd place finish in the conference for the Lady Stars. The Stars are back in action in the first round of sectionals against Lebanon at 7pm on Tuesday at Lebanon High School. Come out and support the Lady Stars! The JV Lady Stars played their last game of the season Friday against North Montgomery. Due to the Chargers low team numbers they were only able to play two quarters which does not provide a lot of room for error. Knowing this the Stars came out aggressively attacking on both ends of the court to finish with one of their best quarters they have played all season, up 15 to 4. For the last quarter shots did not fall as easily but the defense stayed strong and WeBo finished with the win 17 to 8 and brought their record to 11 wins and 8 losses. Once again it was a great team effort by all members that play well together, always continue to improve and never give up. Great season JV Lady Stars!
