The boys swim team battled West Lafayette on Tuesday night; they were defeated with a score of 102-77. The medley relay team of Jacob Norman, Jude Balke, Tanner Weakley, and Isaac Threlkeld kicked off the meet with a second-place finish. The team of Ethan Barnett, Carver Bragg, Malachi Catterson, and Andrew Johnson placed fourth. In the 200 freestyle, Norman, Wyatt Barnett, and Daniel Talbott finished second, third, and fourth. Catterson and Asher Foy finished third and fourth in the 200 IM. Threlkeld earned the Stars’ only individual victory of the evening in the 50 freestyle. Xander Rouse finished in second in diving. Weakley placed second in the 100 butterfly, followed by Threlkeld and Catterson in fourth and fifth respectively. E. Barnett and Zach Connors finished second and third in the 100 freestyle, followed by Artie Milliser in fifth. Talbott, W. Barnett, and Chase Collier finished second, third, and fourth in the 500 freestyle. The Stars earned another win in the 200 freestyle relay thanks to the team of Collier, W. Barnett, Weakley, and Threlkeld. The team of Balke, Connors, Bragg, and Talbott finished in third; the team of Johnson, Foy, Milliser, and Garringer placed fourth. Norman, E. Barnett, and Foy placed fourth, fifth, and sixth in the 100 backstroke. Weakley, Bragg, and Balke teamed up in breaststroke for third, fourth, and fifth. In the 400 free relay, the team of Talbott, E. Barnett, W. Barnett, and Norman placed third; the team of Connors, Bragg, Foy, and Collier placed fourth; the team of Balke, Milliser, Johnson, and Catterson finished in fourth. The boys have one more meet against Fountain Central before they enter the sectional competition.
