Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The JH boys and girls swim teams both traveled to Crawfordsville on Monday for their first swim meets. Even though nerves were high for this young team they all performed well. On the girls side the score was Western Boone 67, Crawfordsville 113. In the 200 Medley Relay the relay team of Joan Gearheart, Avery Schrier, Autumn Palmer and Hannah Ranney finished 3rd. In the 200 Freestyle Webo’s Claire Torp finished 2nd, Aveline Orr 3rd and Rachel Rustin 4th. In the 100 IM Eisley Whiteley finished 3rd, Isabelle Sturgis 4th. Evie Maurath finished 2nd in the 50 free followed by Adalyn Sartin in 4th and Kenzie Clements 5th. Eisley Whiteley had a great first night of diving finishing 2nd. A. Palmer, R. Rustin and Rylee Pelley went 3rd, 4th and 5th in the 50 Butterfly. In the 100 Free C. Trop, H. Ranney and Isabella Sparks finished 2nd, 4th and 5th. The 400 free was a close between I. Sturgis and E. Maurath with Sturgis finishing just a second ahead of Maurath to finish 3rd and 4th. A. Orr also swam a great race to finish 5th. In the 200 Free Relay the relay team of Jaili Torp, J. Gearheart, A. Orr, C. Torp finished 2nd. H. Ranney, Kyndal Dickerson, Isabella Sparks and A. Palmer finished 3rd. K. Clements, R. Rustin, A. Schrier and A. Sartin finished 5th. Scoring for the Stars in the 100 Back were J. Torp (3rd), K. Dickerson (4th) and J. Gearheart (5th). In the 100 Breaststroke R. Pelley was 4th, A. Schrier finished 5th followed by Kate Foy (6th). Scoring in the final event of the meet the 400 Free Relay was the relay team of J. Torp, I. Sturgis, E. Maurath, C. Torp (2nd). In 3rd place was the team of R. Pelley, A. Orr, K. Dickerson and E. Whiteley. On the boys side the score was Western Boone 54, Crawfordsville 121. The team of Jacob Scheier, Ben Twitty, Liam Whiteley and Aiden Lester finished 3rd. In the 200 Free Henry Biggs finished 2nd and J. Scheier finished 4th. In the 100 IM L. Whiteley finished 2nd, A. Lester 4th followed closely by Aiden Smith 5th. Madow Amich finished 2nd in the 50 free, Kolten Conner (5th) and Levi Biggs (6th). In the 50 Fly L. Whiteley finished 2nd. In the 100 Free A. Smith finished 3rd followed by B. Twitty (4th) and Levi Biggs (6th). H. Biggs finished 3rd in the 400 Free. The 200 Free Relay of A. Smith, M. Amich, L. Biggs and K. Conner had an exciting finish second. J. Schrier and M. Amich went 2nd & 3rd in the 100 Back. Followed by another 2nd and 3rd finish in the 100 Breaststroke by B. Twitty and A. Lester. In the 400 Free Relay the team of J. Schrier, H. Biggs, A. Lester and L. Whiteley finished 2nd. The team of L. Biggs, A. Smith, M. Amich and B. Twitty finished 4th. JH Swim meet against North Montgomery The Stars fell to the Chargers last night with a girls score of 72-105 and on the boys side 74-89. On the girls side in the 200 Free Rachel Rustin dropped 3 seconds off her best time from the meet on Monday. Isabelle Sturgis also dropped time in the 100 IM to obtain a new best time. Eisley Whiteley finished in first place for diving. Autumn Palmer stood out in the 50 fly by dropping another 2 seconds from her swim on Monday. Aveline Orr had a big time drop by over a minute in the 400 Free. Joan Gerheart dropped 9 seconds in her 100 Backstroke for a new best time. Rylee Pelley also had a 4 second time drop from Monday in the 100 Breaststroke. On the boys side Henry Biggs won the 200 Free and 400 Free. Maddox Amich dropped 2 seconds in the 50 Free and finished second place. Levi Biggs also had a big time drop in the 50 Free of 5 seconds. Aiden Smith had a fast 100 Free and improved by 4 seconds from Monday. The 200 Free Relay of A. Smith, M. Amich, L. Biggs and Kolten Conner improved their relay time by 9 seconds. Jacob Schrier won the 100 Backstroke. Liam Whiteley won the 100 Breaststroke followed by Ben Twitty who also had a two second time drop from Monday.
