On Tuesday (01/31/2023), the Western Boone Jr High wrestling team wrestled at home Vs. Lebanon Middle School. The Stars come out victorious in a tightly contest meet 52-51. Klayton Mikesell (75lbs) and Jaxsyn Matthews (80lbs) started strong with quick pins. Jackson Bloss (85lbs) pinned his opponent in under a minute. Colton Mitchel at 90lbs lost a close one 2-3. Charlie Jones (95lbs) won 10-6 and Ty Riner (100lbs) won 6-5. Lane rose (106), Ben Pemberton (113), Hunter Davis (120) and Eli Ballentine (126) all lost via first period pins . At 132lbs Noah Cole wrestled a tightly contested match until he was ultimately pinned late in the third period . Andres Morales (138) was pinned while Destin Caraballo (145) picked up a quick pin. Jackson Davis (152) lost via pin. Drew Williams (160) picked up his first pin of his career. Broden Wilson (170) pinned his opponent in the 2nd period to bring the stars into striking distance for team points. David Pucket (195) scored a quick pin to secure the win for Western Boone. At 275 Jackson Jones received a forfeit. Webo Jr. High's next meet will be on Thursday 2/9 at home against Clinton Prairie and Sheridan
