The Western Boone Stars Track & Field teams finished the regular season Monday night in a tri-meet at North Montgomery. The host Chargers won both girls and boys, while the Stars placed second in both girls and boys, followed by Fountain Central in third. It was a great night for our track & field team as there were several personal bests and season bests hit in many of the field events and sprinting events. First place finishes for the girls were Lily Shirley (200m), River Roys (300m Hurdles), Charlotte Stucky (3200m), and Alexa Massingill (High Jump). First place finishes for the boys were Jaden Latham (100m & 300m Hurdles), Malaki Christy (100m), Mason Amich (Shot Put), and Wyatt Dickey (Discus). Lily Shirley broke the school record in the 200m Dash with a time of 26.86, beating the previous record of 26.90 held by Brandy Woody in 2008.
