The varsity girls tennis team earned an outstanding 3-2 win Thursday versus McCutcheon. 3S Brunty and 1D Ransom/Adams all played great and won in straight sets. 2S Fettig and 2D Baird/Hayden were defeated in straight sets, so the match came down to 1S Jones. Jones lost the first set but came back to win a close second set tiebreaker and third set to seal the varsity victory and move the team to 1-1. On the JV side, the team lost 1-4 with the win coming from 1S Crowley. Meadows/Mickschl and Shepherd/Crowley all picked up wins in playback matches after their first rounds were complete. The JV is now 0-2. The Stars will host Attica next Tuesday at 4:30.
