Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Varsity golf team competed at Rocky Ridge Golf Club on Saturday in the Sagamore Athletic Conference tournament. The Stars would shoot a 392, finishing 8th. The Stars golfers were just never able to find consistency in the high and swirling winds. Evan Terwiske led the Stars with a 95, followed by Luke LaGrange's 96. Ben Fortner was able to improve his score by 5 strokes over last season to card a 97. Alex Thompson completed the scoring with a 104 in his first conference tournament match. Asher Foy carded a 107, also in his first appearance at the conference tournament. The varsity has some time off before competing in their final two regular season matches next week. The JV hosts Tri-West at Cool Lake on Wednesday.
