Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Junior High Softball Lady stars posted win number 4 on the season, 4-3 vs Danville last night. Ally Lewis got the start on the mound going 4 and 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs on 3 hits and striking out 6. Mickey Burns came in relief with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the scored tied to shut things down with the help of a nifty double play involving Lewis, Kenzlei Mathews and Taylor Schornhorst. over the last 1 and 2/3 innings. Taylor Princell was able to record the game winning RBI in walk-off fashion with a two out single. The B team also played last night dropping their contest 13-0. Despite the score they should signs of improvement as the season continues. Both teams will be in action on Monday evening as they host the Lady Bulldogs of Clinton Central A game 5:30, B game to follow.
