Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone golf team was back in action Thursday night, playing their second match of the season. The Stars were just edged out by host Hamilton Heights, 190 - 192. Playing the beautiful, but tough Bear Slide course, the Stars still had reasons to be encouraged despite coming up just short. Consistency at the top, improving the team score by 5 strokes from the first match and on a more difficult course, as well as, getting other players experience and having them prove they are ready to compete for a scoring spot were the key take aways. The Stars appear to still be getting dialed in but trending in the right direction. Scoring: Levi LaGrange - 43, Luke Barta - 53, Marcus Stepp - 48, Damian Stout - 48. Isaiah Grady - 54.
