The Western Boone Lady Stars Junior High Softball A team posted a 12-1 win over the Lady Athenians of Crawfordsville, improving their record to 5-0 on the season. The Stars got things going early in the 1st inning with 5 runs, 3 of which came off a dinger by Raina Lutz to center field. The Stars were led at plate by Mickey Burns posting 2 hits and 5 RBIs in the contest. Ally Lewis, Kenzlei Mathews, and Lutz teamed up on the mound allowing only 1 run on 1 hit while striking out 9. The B teams posted their first win of the season in a 17-7 contest. The Stars were lead at the plate by Brooklyn Vaugh and Kensley Blankenship each with an RBI for the evening. Ashlynn Foster and CJ Paris took the mound allowing 7 runs on 2 hits while striking our 4. Both teams will be back in action on Monday April 24th as they host the Lebanon Tigers.
