Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Stars hosted Lafayette Central Catholic and Crawfordsville Wednesday night at Cool Lake Golf Club, for the first home event of the season. Lafayette Central Catholic took the varsity match with a team score of 166, with Western Boone and Crawfordsville tying for second place at 184 each. Levi LaGrange once again led the Stars, while playing in a very strong first group, with a score of 41. Luke Barta and Isaiah Grady each turned in season bests at 43 and 49 respectively. Marcus Step, 51, and Damian Stout, 52, who each caught a couple of bad breaks along the way, completed the scoring and varsity portion for the Stars. The Knights and the Stars also competed in a JV match (The Athenians did not have enough players to compete). The Stars, who had to make some late lineup changes, dropped the match 199 to 216. Cole Ramsey and Maddex Gadbury delivered solid rounds at 51 each. Evan Terwiske and Evan Koch reported rounds of 54 and 60 respectively. Artie Milliser scored a 69 in his golfing debut. The Stars varsity team will be back at Crawfordsville CC on Saturday, participating in the Mountie Invite.
