Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone golf team (176) topped Clinton Prairie (191) and host Sheridan (189) last evening at Cool Lake Golf Club. The highlight of the evening was Levi LaGrange's career best score of 36. He stood in the tee box on his final hole with a chance to tie or potentially break the school record but came up just short. Damian Stout followed with a strong 44 and Luke Barta along with Marcus Stepp added scores of 48 each. Isaiah Grady turned in a card of 55. Though the JV portion of the match wasn't officially scored, the group of Jaice Butler (47) in his season debut, Evan Terwiske (50), Maddex Gadbury (51), Evan Koch's personal best (52) and Cole Ramsey's (54), combined for a team score of 200. This production reflected the vast improvement the group has made from their season opening match score of 226. With the first period of the season in the books, the Stars are facing a nine-day layoff. The Stars will look to utilize this time to remain focused in practice and allow the players to compete for the first twelve spots and solidify the depth chart.
