Aiden Lester got the call on the mound and did a fine job, holding the Hot Dogs at bay through 2 scoreless innings of work. Aiden got some help with outstanding defense by Noah Cole at second base, who accounted for 6 outs, and would later come in to finish the game on the mound, throwing a strikeout of his own. Frankfort broke through in the third inning putting 4 runs on the board, but hits by Jacob Collins, Owen Young and Aiden Lester had the bases loaded in the bottom of the third and the team set for a comeback with Noah Cole coming to the plate, who had hammered a ball down the third base line in the first inning. Noah launched one to deep right-center and it looked like the comeback was underway, but the centerfielder managed to track it down and stop the Stars from scoring. The final score was disappointing as the Blue Stars fell 12 - 0, but among the highlights was a successful hidden ball trick, some solid work by Andres Morales behind the plate, a couple of defensive gems by Aiden Lester at third base, as well as Destin Caraballo pitching for the first time in his Jr. High career, and getting 2 of the 3 final outs. The Blue Stars travel to Clinton Prairie on Monday, looking to get back in the win column.
