Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Junior High Softball team picked up a nice win last night with a 5-4 victory over Zionsville. Ally Lewis got the win going 4 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 hits, 2 walks and striking out 9. The Stars were lead at the plate by Kenzlei Mathews going 3 for 3 on the evening. Lewis, Addi Lee, and Taylor Schornhorst each added hits of their own in the win. The B team dropped a tough one last night 8-6 vs Zionsville. Raina Lutz got the start allowing 3 hits, 5 walks and 7 strike outs. CJ Paris came in as relief in the final inning and pitched well allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run. Brooke Vaugh, lead they Stars at the plate going 2 for 2 in the contest. Both teams will be back in action Thursday as they will travel to take on the Lady Cadets of Cascade with the A team taking the field at 5:30 and B game to follow.
