Conyer Throws Perfect Game as Western Boone Varsity Stars Defeats Frankfort Varsity Hot Dogs Emily Conyer hurled a perfect game on Thursday to lead Western Boone Varsity Stars past Frankfort Varsity Hot Dogs 16-0. Conyer induced a groundout from Heather Massengill to end the game. Emma Shirley collected four hits in four at bats to help lead Western Boone Varsity Stars to victory. Shirley tripled in the first, tripled in the second, singled in the third, and singled in the fourth. Western Boone Varsity Stars opened up scoring in the first inning. Shirley tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Western Boone Varsity Stars notched seven runs in the third inning. The rally was led by singles by Shirley, Gabby Lewis, and Makenzie Amich, doubles by Conyer and Mickayla Naanos, and an error on a ball put in play by Kale Conner. Conyer led things off in the pitcher's circle for Western Boone Varsity Stars. The hurler lasted five innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. Kamryn Campbell toed the rubber for Frankfort Varsity Hot Dogs. The bulldog allowed 19 hits and 16 runs over four innings, striking out three and walking one. Western Boone Varsity Stars tallied 19 hits in the game. Shirley, Conyer, Amich, Naanos, and Lewis all had multiple hits for Western Boone Varsity Stars. Amich, Conyer, and Shirley each collected four hits to lead Western Boone Varsity Stars. Western Boone Varsity Stars was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Naanos had the most chances in the field with nine.
