The Western Boone Junior High Softball A team dropped a tough one last night to the Lady Cadets of Cascade 3 to 4. Mickey Burns got the start allowing 4 runs on 4 hits walking 0 and striking out 3. The Stars were lead at the plate by Kenzlei Mathews with 2 hits in the contest, Burns and Taylor Princell added hits of their own. The B team got the offense going early gathering 16 hits on the evening, but could not hold on as they dropped their game 16 to 17 as well. Bailey Ford and Murryn Sturgis went 3 for 3 in the contest while Brooke Wagoner and Caydence Paris both added 2 hits of their own in the loss. Both teams will be back in action Monday May 15th as they travel to Lebanon to take on the Lady Tigers. A team is set for a 6pm start with B team to follow.
