5/15 Recap The Western Boone Junior High Softball A team picked up another win last night against Lebanon. The Stars took the lead in the first scoring 3 and never looked back. They added 1 more in in the 5th to make the final 4-2. Ally Lewis got the start and pitched a complete gaming allowing 2 runs on 1 hit striking out 11 in the contest. The offense posted 5 hits on the evening with Lewis and Mickey Burns going 2 for 3 and 2 for 2 respectively. Kenzlei Mathews added the other Western Boone hit in the game. The B team offense came alive last night as they tied the Tigers 12-12 in a 5-inning contest with Bailey Ford and Murryn Sturgis going 2 for 2 and 2 for 3 respectively. Both teams will be back in action tonight as they host another country rival in the Sheridan Blackhawks. Come out and support your Lady Stars with a 6pm A game start B game to follow. The 8th graders will be recognized between games tonight.
