The Stars faced off against a strong Clinton Prairie team last night and battled with heart and determination. From the first serve to the final point, our girls showed grit—making solid attempts at digging their kills, staying mentally focused, and refusing to back down. Clinton Prairie came in as the first team to challenge us with consistently powerful down balls, and our girls rose to meet that challenge head-on. Although the final scores were 25-15 and 25-14 in favor of the Gophers, the fight our team showed was something to be proud of. We’re incredibly proud of every player who stepped on the court last night. This match was about more than just the score—it was a test of toughness and spirit, and our Stars passed with flying colors. Player of the Game: Alivia Adkins Alivia played her best defensive match of the season, showing fearless energy and unmatched awareness. She led the team in digs, reading Clinton Prairie’s hitters like a book and reacting with confidence. There were balls that looked destined to hit the floor, but Alivia made sure they didn’t. Her calm under pressure and relentless hustle helped keep our momentum alive throughout both sets. We’re lucky to have her as a rock in our back row. Yes, we took a loss last night—but make no mistake, this is not a setback. This is fuel. This is fire. And our team is burning brighter than ever. We still hold a winning record, and this match has only sharpened our focus. The Clinton Prairie game showed us exactly what we’re made of—and now we’re more determined, more united, and more ready than ever to finish this season strong.
