The Western Boone Junior High Softball A team picked up another win last night against Sheridan 18-0 as they honored their 8th grade members of the Team; Neveah Turner, Brooklynn Vaugh, Payten Blankenship, Taylor Princell, Taylor Schornhorst, Kenzlei Mathews, Ally Lewis and Mickey Burns all were recognized on field with their parents last night between the two games. Mickey Burns got the start striking out 6 with 1 walk before Kenzlei Mathews came in to close the game out striking out 1 and walking 1. The duo allowed zero runs in the 3-inning affair. The Stars were led at the plate by Ally Lewis going 3 for 3 with an inside the park HR to cap the evening off. The B team also posted a win last night 12-11 over Sheridan. Ashlyn Foster and CJ Paris teamed up on the mound each striking out 1. The Stars were led at the plate by Layna Zigler and Kensley Blankenship each with a hit on the evening. Both teams will take the field Thursday in their season finally against Hamilton Heights. A game 5:30 start, B game to follow.
