Girls basketball defeated Purdue Poly to win their second straight sectional title! Precious Anuka led the Irish with 21 points and Caroline Wiggins added 10 points. In the opening rounds of sectionals, Cathedral defeated Herron 65-3 and Purdue Poly 55-43. In the sectional championship, Cathedral brought home a 46-38 win over Crispus Attacks. Head coach Lisa Finn has lead the Irish to back-to-back sectional championships for the first time since 2001. Buoyed by a 13 game winning streak, the Irish are 21-6 this year. The Irish advance to the regional round vs Roncalli. The game is Saturday, February 14th at 4:00 PM at Greencastle High School.
