The game will be held at the former Broad Ripple High School where the Fighting Irish last played in 2010. It’s the 33rd time that the two city schools will face each other. Originally, this week was an open one on Cathedral’s schedule. Following Center Grove’s re-admittance to the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference, the Trojans replaced the Irish with a league opponent for week seven. Attucks’ scheduled game against Charles A Tindley High School was recently cancelled leaving the Tigers with an open date to fill this week as well. The Fighting Irish lost their last outing in overtime, 17-10, at Trotwood-Madison outside of Dayton, Ohio, while the Tigers won 22-13 at Southport last Friday. Cathedral faced Crispus Attucks annually from 1945 to 1972. The Irish lead the all-time series 27-4-1.
