Cathedral Draws North Central to Begin Football Postseason

The Indiana High School Athletic Association has drawn the pairings for its 52nd Annual Football State Tournament. Indianapolis Cathedral will compete in Class 6A for a fifth season under the IHSAA’s Success Factor. The Fighting Irish previously played in 6A in 2015, 2016, 2022, and 2023, winning sectional titles each year and a regional championship in 2022. Cathedral will begin the 2024 tournament hosting North Central. The Irish defeated the Panthers, 53-13, in week five of the regular season. In the other Sectional 6 semifinal, Lawrence North travels to Lawrence Central. The Wildcats defeated the Bears, 33-26, to open the season on August 23.
