Girls basketball defeated Purdue Poly to win sectionals! Cathedral used a dominating first half to propel the Irish to their first sectional title since 2005. Tianna Guy led the Irish with 22 points on 9 of 16 shooting. Caroline Wiggins scored 13 points and Jaeda Wilson added 11 points. In the opening round, Cathedral defeated Chatard 51-50 in a back-and-forth game. The the sectional semifinal, Cathedral won 65-27 over Crispus Attacks. The Irish will play at 4:00pm vs Northview for the regional championship. The game is Saturday, February 15 at Greencastle High School.
