Lake Central Locks Down Andrean for 31–22 Road Victory The Lake Central girls’ basketball team used another dominant defensive performance to earn a 31–22 win over Andrean on Wednesday night, marking their sixth straight game holding an opponent under 37 points. Despite going scoreless in the third quarter, the Indians leaned on their defensive identity to close out the victory. LC’s offensive spark came in the second quarter behind Alex Myszak, who caught fire from long range. Myszak buried three three-pointers in the period and finished with a game-high 11 points while also adding two steals. Neila Ogden and Allison Yott each scored 8 points, providing steady contributions in a game where every bucket mattered. Yott also chipped in three rebounds and two steals.. The interior of Jill Beaderstadt and Diane Jeffries played a major role in LC’s defensive success. The duo combined for 10 rebounds, helping the Indians control the paint and keep the 59ers from second-chance opportunities. Lake Central now turns its attention to a big weekend test. The Indians will travel to Michigan on Saturday to compete in the Michigan Girls’ Hoops Shootout.
