Lake Central Boys Roll Past Griffith, 76–52 LC 17 22 20 17 Griffith 19 12 16 5 The Lake Central boys’ basketball team turned a tight early contest into a convincing road victory Tuesday night, pulling away for a 76–52 win at Griffith High School. After a back-and-forth opening quarter that saw the Indians trailing 19–17, Lake Central settled in and gradually built separation. LC put the game away with a dominant fourth-quarter performance. Lake Central outscored the Panthers 17–5 in the final period, limiting Griffith to just five points while turning defensive pressure into offense to seal the win. Jakob Billmeyer led all scorers with 23 points while filling the stat sheet with six rebounds and five assists. Noah Enyeart followed with 19 points, a team-high eight rebounds, and three steals. Cooper Kroncke also reached double figures, finishing with 12 points, four rebounds, and a game-high seven steals as the Indians’ defensive intensity wore down the Panthers. Lake Central will look to carry that momentum home when the Indians host Morton on Saturday evening. The Indians are 4-0 and the Governors are 0-4.
