Jasmyn Spraggins Advances to the State Finals

IHSAA Girls' Wrestling Regional at Plymouth HS Full Results: https://www.ihsaa.org/sites/default/files/documents/2025-26%20GWR%20Plymouth%20Regional.pdf Lake Central qualified 3 girls' wrestlers for the 2026 IHSAA Regional hosted by Plymouth on Saturday. Genevieve Rogers made the Regional in the 110 pound class. Rogers won her first match by tech fall to advance to the ticket round. In one of the most exciting matches of the day, Rogers fell in the 3rd period to Aubrey Schelstraete of New Prairie. Riley Nunez competed in the 235 pound class. Nunez won her first match by fall in 16 seconds before she ran into the eventual Regional Champion from Hobart in the ticket round. This brought her season to a close. The highlight of the day was Jasmyn Spraggins earning a ticket to the State Finals this Friday in the 190 pound weight class. Spraggins pinned her way to the finals winning her first three matches by fall. She fell in the Championship to the top ranked wrestler in the State in that class. Spraggins will travel to Indianapolis on Friday to wrestle at Corteva Coliseum, Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center. All state finals information can be found at the link below.
