Boys' Basketball Splits this Weekend/Girls' BB Knocks off La Porte

Boys' Hoops Earns DAC Road Win on Friday and Falls at Home vs Harrison Saturday Friday night, the boys traveled to La Porte to open DAC play. LC picked up an overtime road win to move to 1-0 in the DAC. La Porte raced out to an early 17-3 lead after one. The Indians trailed by 9 at halftime before taking a 3-point lead heading into the 4th quarter. The Indians outscored the Slicers 7-3 in overtime to hold on for the 60-56 victory. Jakob Billmeyer led the way for LC with 15 points and 4 rebounds. David Aguilera added 12 points. Cooper Kroncke and Noah Enyeart had 10 apiece. Evan Geller finished with a team high 8 boards. LC 3 16 20 14 7 60 LP 15 13 8 17 3 56 On Saturday, the script flipped and LC squandered an 11 point fourth quarter lead and lost in overtime to visiting Lafayette Harrison. Enyeart led the way with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Kroncke added 14 points and 5 assists; Aguilera had 10 points and 6 steals; Evan Geller chipped in 8 points. LC will travel to Portage on Friday. LC 6 16 13 14 8 57 LH 11 9 11 18 10 59 The Lady Indians defeated La Porte on the road 53-45 on Saturday. LC is now 10-8 overall and 3-2 in the DAC. The Indians were led by Jill Beaderstadt's 18 points; she also had 9 rebounds. Diane Jeffries had a game high 11 boards and also chipped in 7 points. Alex Myszak had 13 and grabbed 5 rebounds; and Allison Yott had a well-rounded game at the point with 7 points and 3 rebounds and assists. LC will host Marquette tomorrow evening.
