Lake Central High School

The junior varsity and varsity wrestling teams wrestled a DAC dual at Merrillville last night. Both ended up in the losing column in the team results. Lake Central did have a few great performances: Cruz Orueta won by 1st round fall at 113 pounds. Jake Luedtke pinned his opponent in the 3rd round at heavyweight. Alex DeLonjay won a close one by decision at 144 (5-4). Luke Neid earned a 1st round pin at 126. James Matlon won via forfeit. LC will travel to Portage on Saturday morning for the Duneland Athletic Conference Championships.
