V/JV Volleyball--The junior varsity volleyball team remained unbeaten on the season defeating Portage in straight sets. To this point, the boys have only dropped one set all season. The varsity volleyball team defeated Portage in 4 sets. The first two sets were convincing wins by both sides, followed by a tight 3rd set which LC won. See the results below. S1 S2 S3 S4 Wins Portage 10 25 20 11 1 Lake Central 25 13 25 25 3 Boys' T/F--The boys traveled to Valparaiso to face the host Vikings and Portage Indians in a triangular. Lake Central was victorious over Portage and lost to Valparaiso. Valparaiso 82.66 Lake Central 56 Lake Central 75 Portage 56 The following Indians were victorious in their events (full results are attached below): Travis Garcia-- 300 H Jacob White-Hutsler, Charlie Newton, Tim Daly, Travis Garcia-- 4X400 Christopher Gavin-- Discus and Shot Put Girls' T/F--Lake Central hosted Valparaiso and Portage. The Indians defeated Portage and fell to Valparaiso. Teams scores will be added when made available. Four Lady Indians were winners in their events: Anastasia Thompson--100 hurdles Krystian Dilosa, Anastasia Thompson, Keegan McLaughlin, Jade Smedley-4X100 relay Emma Reyes--shot put and discus LC will host Crown Point for senior night next Tuesday. Sophia Cembala was the winning pitcher. Sofia Beals, Teagan Tripp, and Kyrie Pollack had multi-hit games. Addison Doloszycki and Beals (6 RBIs) each homered. The girls travel to Hanover tonight and host the NCC/DAC Challenge on Saturday. V Softball--Maddie Such and Sofia Calderaro each worked 3 innings combining for 12 strikeouts to help the Indians remain unbeaten. Kate Renschen doubled and tripled for LC. Jolie Adams drove in 2, and MaKayla Van Vossen homered and drove in 3. LC will host Michigan City in a double-header this evening. V Baseball--The bus never quite made it to Michigan City and managed to muster 30 round trip miles in 3 hours. They'll host the Wolves in a double-header tonight.
