Freshman vs LaPorte High School Win (37-0) Freshman football completed another shutout victory over LaPorte 37-0. The Indians were stout on defense causing 4 turnovers on the night and sacked the quarterback in the end zone for a safety. The Indians defensively were led by Jonquil Sharpe, Gavin Feltz Hunter Segal, Michael Green, and Matthew Mansour who all contributed with several tackles. Will Bolden and Damien Ptasinski each added an interception. Jonathon Travis and Matt Tuftedal both added a fumble recovery on the defensive side. Scout Polletta, Michael Denny, and Rocco Ditola sacked the quarterback in the end zone for the safety. Offensively the Indian's ran away with the victory scoring 4 rushing touchdowns. Matt Tuftedal led the rushing attack with 2 rushing touchdowns, with one being a 98 yard rushing touchdown backed up against the goal line. Jonquil Sharpe and Kenyon Watson also added a score for the Indians on the ground. Quarterback Michael Zillinger led the offense in the air completing passes to Connor Marsh, Will Bolden, and Mason Jessie. Zillinger and Jessie connected in the end zone on a 37 yard score as time expired in the first half. Lake Central improves to 4-1 on the season and returns to action next Thursday at home vs. Michigan City.
