Boys' & Girls' XC are DAC Champions

Boys' Cross County--DAC Championships Result--1st Place https://www.thtiming.com/images/2024_dac_boys_varsity_team.pdf For the first time since joining the DAC, the boys' cross country team is the Duneland Champion. The Indians scored 55 points as a team, finishing ahead of second place Chesterton (64) and third place Valparaiso (65). Ben Perschon led the way for LC finishing in 2nd place. Kristofer Garner finished 4th overall; Evan Smith was 13th; Patrick Ryan was 17th; and Dominic Negrete finished 19th to round out the Indians' scoring. LC will have the week off before they head to the Highland Sectional on October 19th. Lake Central's JV finished 3rd and had three top 10 finishers: Owen Thompson (3rd), Jake O'Sullivan (6th), and Brian Crague (7th). For the first time since joining the DAC, they were team champions and had the individual champion! Macey Thompson was the overall champion, running a 17:23 which is a new course record and a new school record. Lana Bruggeman was 3rd, Chloe Neal was 4th and Aubrey Neal was 8th. JV ended their season by being runner-ups. They were led by Marina Negrete who ran a 20:57.
