We would like to extend the upmost congratulations to baseball coach Mike Swartzentruber on a well deserved honor. The Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association has selected the inductees to the 2025 Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame. On that list is the head coach of the 2024 class 4A State Champion Lake Central Indians: Coach Mike Swartzentruber. Swartz will join two other coaches and two players in this year's induction. Griffith's Brian Jennings will also enter the HoF. The IHSBCA has this to say about Coach Swartz: "With a career spanning numerous championships (including 3 state championships), Mike's dedication to the sport has set new standards for excellence. He is the only coach in Indiana to win a state championship with two different programs." Coach has completed 8 seasons at the helm at Lake Central. During those 8 seasons he has led Lake Central to 4 DAC championships, 6 sectional championships, 2 regional championships, a semi-state championship and a state championship.
