Gymnastics Drops a Close on at Crown Point

The gymnastics' team traveled to Crown Point for a DAC dual meet against the Bulldogs. The Indians came up short against the reigning state champs, but they gave CP a run for their money coming up short with a season high 104.45 to 105.325. The varsity team was led by Gabby Robbins placing 3rd on bars, 2nd on beam, 1st on floor, and 2nd in the All-Around. Gabby Arroyo placed 5th on vault, 3rd on beam, 4th on floor, and 3rd in the All-Around. Sonya Gomez placed 4th on bars and 5th on beam. Kailynn Paat placed 1st on vault, 6th on beam and floor, and 5th in the All-Around. Sophia Rodriguez placed 3rd on vault and 6th on bars. The JV team did not field a full team but had multiple placings on events. Emily Bishop placed 3rd on vault and bars, Sonya Gomez placed 6th on floor; Janna Kendall placed 5th on bars, Ari Mahan placed 5th on beam, and Marina Negrete placed 4th on vault and floor and 6th on beam. The gymnastics' team will travel to Plymouth High School for an invite this Saturday and to Michigan City on Monday for a DAC dual meet against the Wolves!
