Lake Central High School

Lake Central's wrestling team couldn't defend their sectional title from last year and finished in 3rd place in the 10 team field. Merrillville earned the team title and Munster was 2nd as a team. Lake Central freshman Cruz Orueto earned his 1st sectional title at 106 pounds, and senior Emilio Tirado defended his sectional championship and was victorious at 175 pounds. The top 4 wrestlers in each weight class advance to Saturday's Hobart Regional.
