ROCK ISLAND – Head Augustana softball coach John Nelson and his staff have announced the incoming 2025 class. "We are excited and honored to announced our incoming 2025 class," said Coach Nelson. "This class will bring a balance of speed, power, and high softball IQ. Madi, Lexi, Lindsay, and A'rion all come from very competitive travel and high school programs and we look forward to them being impact players over the next four years as Augustana Vikings." Madi Bickell is a 5-foot-8 first baseman out of Schereville, Ind. and Lake Central High School. Bickell will be graduating with academic honors and is a member of the National Honor Society Leadership Committee. She is currently a three-time Scholar Athlete and was a Sportsmanship Award recipient to go along with academic and athletic letters. “Augustana felt like it welcomed me with open arms,” said Bickell. “It has everything I could ever want and need in a college, and I feel like choosing Augie will set me up for success not only during, but after my time there.” “I did not go to one tournament where Madi did not hit the ball out of the park," added Nelson. “She hits with power and does it with ease. We are very excited to see the offensive production she will bring to us at Augustana.”
