The Indians are now 19-3 overall and get an opportunity to rebound at Chesterton tonight, where they will look to remain unbeaten in the conference slate. Last night, Maddie Such was the pitcher of record working 4 innings. Jada Lewis threw a scoreless final 2 frames. Lexi Iwema started the offense with an inside-the-park homerun in the first. Tegan Tripp added a triple and scored, and MaKayla Van Vossen drove in a run. The JV Indians stayed red-hot defeating the Red Devils at home 11-0. Sophia Cembala threw a 2-hit shutout and struck out 6 in her five innings. Piper Urbanski led the Indians with 2 hits (including a HR), 3 runs, and 3 RBIs. Aubrey Richardson had two extra base hits, and Cali Ramirez had two hits and scored two runs. V/JV Volleyball vs Merrillville JV--LC 2 Merrillville 1 V--LC 3 Merrillville 0 Lake Central secured the outright DAC title in the inaugural IHSAA season moving their conference record to 13-0 (22-6 overall). The Indians wrap up the conference on Thursday against La Porte and then host Kouts from the PCC on senior night Friday.
