JV/V Boys' Tennis @ Lowell JV--LC 5 Lowell 0 V--LC 4 Lowell 1 In the 7th Annual Battle for the Wooden Racquet, Lake Central traveled to Lowell for JV and V tennis. Lake Central was victorious to run the series to LC 5 and Lowell 2. Lowell had won the previous two battles. The Indians beat a very good Lowell squad 4-1 at the varsity level and 5-0 at the junior varsity level. This was also a fundraising endeavor with Operation Charlie Bravo out of Crown Point. The two teams combined to raise over $3,000 for the veteran's organization. It was a great night of tennis for a great cause. The Indians varsity is now 8-1 overall and 3-0 in the DAC (a showdown of the top 2 teams tonight at home!) and the JV is 11-0 and 3-0 in the DAC.
