JV/V Volleyball @ Merrillville JV--LC 2 Merrillville 0 V--LC 3 Merrillville 0 LC cruised to straight set victories in the junior varsity and varsity matches. The varsity bested Merrillville in 3 sets ( 25-9, 25-9, 25-8). The Indians were led by Lexi Iwema with 8 kills; Kayla Dudek and Alina Williams each with 5 kills; Mariah Dattulo with 8 digs and 5 aces; and Lilly Barth and Izzy Steliga combined for 25 assists. LC will head to Hamilton Southeastern to take on some great competition this weekend at the Southeastern Showcase. JV/V Girls' Soccer vs Hanover Central JV--LC 5 Hanover Central 0 V--LC 2 Hanover Central 0 The girls' soccer program celebrated pre-game with teacher appreciation night. Each varsity player invited their favorite teacher from their tenure it the Lake Central School Corporation for an on field recognition. We thank the staff for all of their hard work and presence at last night's contest (more pictures to come later...). LC was victorious in both matches. The junior varsity scored early and often racing out to a 5-0 lead, which was the final. The varsity team scored two quick goals. The first came from Zoe Panzica and then, the second came from Phoebe Fogarty. LC is back in action at Warsaw this weekend. JV/V Tennis vs Chesterton JV--LC 3 Chesterton 2 V--LC 2 Chesterton 3 The Indians took on top ranked Chesterton and fought them to the end. The Indians were victorious at 2 doubles and 3 singles. The junior varsity beat Chesterton 3-2. LC travels to the Concord Invitational this weekend.
