Boys' Soccer's Great Season Ends in the Regional Finals

Boys Soccer Falls in Regional Championship on Penalty Kicks The boys soccer team fought valiantly in the Regional Championship, but came up just short in a heartbreaking penalty shootout loss to South Bend Adams on Saturday. After a hard-fought match that ended in a 1-1 tie following two overtimes, the game was decided by penalty kicks. Ethan Brewer scored the team’s lone goal during regulation play, keeping hopes alive throughout the intense battle. In goal, Connor Billmeyer put forth a strong performance, making several key saves and giving his team a chance to compete until the final whistle. Unfortunately, South Bend Adams converted their first four penalty kicks, while the team managed to score two, resulting in a 4-2 shootout defeat. Despite the loss, the team’s effort throughout the season were commendable, and they can hold their heads high after an impressive run to the regional final and a 14-5-1 season.
