Lake Central Football Triumphs on the Road, Edging Valparaiso Vikings 21-14 In a hard-fought battle away from home, the Lake Central Indians secured a thrilling 21-14 victory over the Valparaiso Vikings. The win capped off their DAC (Duneland Athletic Conference) play with a solid 5th place finish overall. The Indians' offense was led by standout quarterback Cam Reddick, who put on a dynamic performance both through the air and on the ground. Reddick passed for two touchdowns and 154 yards, while also adding 81 rushing yards to keep the Vikings’ defense at bay all night. Running back Jacob Turley powered the ground game with a dominant 113 yards rushing, helping Lake Central surpass 200 yards on the ground as a team, which controlled the tempo of the game. The receiving corps made key contributions as well. Logan Wroughton hauled in five receptions, including a touchdown,. Meanwhile, Frank Verta led the team with 102 receiving yards, highlighted by a spectacular 74-yard touchdown catch that electrified the Indians and put them in position to win. With the regular season behind them, Lake Central now turns its focus to the postseason. On Halloween night, the Indians will face the unbeaten Ground Point squad in the opening round of the sectional. I
