Girls' Cross Country Earns 2nd Consecutive Regional Championship Lake Central Girls' Cross Country team won their 2nd consecutive Regional Championship with a score of 60. They were led by Macey Thompson who was the overall Regional Champ running a time of 17:25. Chloe Neal finished 6th overall running a time of 18:40, followed by Lana Bruggeman who finished 7th overall running a time of 18:49. Aubrey Neal placed 21st with a time of 19:30, and Sara Filippo finished 25th with a time of 19:35. The girls will be racing at the State Meet in Terre Haute this coming Saturday! The Penn Kingsman were the runners-up finishing with a 61. Ben Perschon was the 4th place overall finisher in a time of 15:48, just 7 seconds off the winning time. Lucca Neves was the 14th place finisher in a time of 16:06. Perschon (senior) and Neves (sophomore) both earned spots in the State Finals.
