Slicers Girls Swimming and Diving Defeats Knox 125-31

LaPorte's Girls Swimming and Dive team traveled to Knox today, and defeated an undermanned Redskins team 125-31. The Slicers won every event, and had some solid swims. LaPorte opened the meet with a win in the 200 Medley Relay behind Cali Hatala (backstroke), Noor Hakim (breaststroke), Isabel Barron (butterfly), and Grace VanHook (freestyle). Cali Hatala won both the 200 Freestyle and 500 Freestyle. Noor Hakim won both the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke. Isabel Barron, celebrating her 16th birthday, won both the 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly. Michelle Clark won diving with a PR of 147.70. Grace VanHook won the 100 Freestyle. The 200 Freestyle Relay of Liz Luna, Grace VanHook, Sarah Peterson and Michelle Clark won. Finally, the 400 Freestyle Relay of Barron, Luna, Hatala and Hakim won in an uncontested race. The Slicers travel to Valparaiso next Tuesday as their record climbs to 3-0. Always proud. Go Slicers! Coach Brahim
