Slicers defeat New Prairie, 57-37

The Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated New Prairie 57-37 on Saturday night in Slicer Gym. La Porte used a balanced scoring attack, with four players in doubled figures. Sawyer Tonagel led the way with 15 points, 5 rebs, and 5 assists. Tim Knoll and Griffin Ott-Large each had 11 points, and Reed Raymond chipped in 10 pts, 4 steals. Destin Matzke led the rebounding effort pulling down 7 boards, while Preston Scheidt also grabbed 5 rebounds. With the win, La Porte improved to 2-1 on the year. Next up for the Slicers, Lowell on Friday at home, followed by a road game Saturday at South Bend Washington.
