The Slicers fell to Portage 77-103 tonight in a meet that was closer than the score shows. LaPorte swam the meet down swimmers due to illness and injury, plus we were without a diver. There were a lot of great races and some very impressive PRs. James Quadlin won the 200 Freestyle by 9 seconds and finished a close second in the 100 Breaststroke. Carson Retseck finished second in the 50 Freestyle, with a lifetime best Flat-start time of 22.94. It was Retseck's first time in the 22's off of a flat start. Roman Garay won both the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke. His 100 Free time was his second fastest all time. Malachi Talbot won the 500 Freestyle in another lifetime best time. He came in at 5:48.02. Milo Jimenez was second in an excellent race. Jimenez had a fantastic finish down the stretch to capture second. The 200 Freestyle Relay won with: Vijay Pillai, Cameron Hatala, Hugo Luna-Zetina and Noah Waak. Freshman Noah Waak has definitely stepped up into the world of racing. The boys record falls to 4-2. They host Jimtown and Marian this Saturday, on Senior Night. Always proud. Go Slicers! Coach Brahim
