LP Boys Swimming Tops Highland 110-53

The Slicers beat the Highland Trojans 110-53 tonight. The Slicers were focused and swam a very consistent meet. LaPorte opened the meet with a win in the 200 Medley Relay with: Roman Garay (backstroke), Cameron Hatala (breaststroke), James Quadlin (butterfly), and Carson Retseck (freestyle). Next, LP went 1,2,3 in the 200 Freestyle with James Quadlin winning, and Milo Jimenez and Noah Waak placing second and third respectively. Quadlin also handily won the 100 Breaststroke. Carson Retseck won the 50 Freestyle with a powerful second 25. Cameron Hatala, Vijay Pillai and Milo Jimenez went 1,2,3 in the 100 Butterfly. Roman Garay and Carson Retseck went 1,2 in the 100 Freestyle. Garay also won the 100 Backstroke. Malachi Talbot won the 500 Freestyle, with Freshman Noah Waak dropping 11 seconds to finish third. Vijay Pillai, Cameron Hatala, Hugo Luna-Zetina, and Noah Waak won the 200 Freestyle Relay. The Slicers finished the meet with a big win in the 400 Freestyle Relay with: Retseck, Pillai, Garay and Quadlin. LaPorte's record climbs to 7-3. They host Elkhart this Saturday. Always proud.
