The score of 106-74 doesn't reflect how close this meet was or how well our team swam. Warsaw arrived with a deep team, and they swam well, leading to their victory. However, our Slicers won several events and had a ton of PR's throughout the meet. The Slicers opened the meet with a very close second place finish in the 200 Medley Relay. Carson Retseck anchored the relay with a lifetime PR 50 Freestyle split of 22.54! Carson should be in the 21s by Sectionals. James Quadlin had a great 200 Freestyle, winning in 1:58.65, 0.05 seconds ahead of his Warsaw rival, Jonah Potter. Quadlin also won the 500 Freestyle by a bunch. Milo Jimenez was third with a season PR of 5:58.71. Roman Garay won both the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Backstroke, finishing with a lifetime PR in the 200 IM of 2:07.24, out touching Warsaw's Caelin Swinehart by .64 seconds! LaPorte finished the meet with a 5 second victory in the 400 Freestyle Relay with: Carson Retseck, Roman Garay, Vijay Pillai, and James Quadlin. Big Slicer shoutouts to freshmen Noah Waak, who dropped 4 seconds in his 200 Freestyle, and Aedan Bailey, who broke into the 28's with his 50 Freestyle! The Slicers record falls to 9-4. They travel to Chesterton next Thursday. Always proud. Go Slicers! Coach Brahim
